Module 1 โ Tritiya Sopan Badge (Prerequisite)
Goal: You must have already earned the Tritiya Sopan badge and be proficient in all its skills before applying for Rajya Puraskar.

Visit schools, slums, or villages to teach basic reading, writing, or numeracy. Conduct awareness sessions on importance of education. Document: location, number of people helped, activities done.

Visit hospitals, orphanages, old age homes, or rehabilitation centres. Perform service like cleaning, entertaining patients, helping elderly. Document your experience and reflection.

Visit courts, legislative assemblies, museums, or heritage sites. Understand India's legal, historical, and cultural legacy. Alternatively โ help senior citizens in your area (Sarvanishthan / Consul).

Visit forests, nature reserves, water bodies, or participate in plantation drives. Study local flora/fauna, identify environmental issues, create an action plan. Plant trees and document impact.

Visit a village or rural area. Conduct surveys on sanitation, water, health, education. Perform service activities like cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns. Write a detailed report.

๐ง Self Consciousness (Sarvanishthan)
Participate in meditation, yoga, or self-reflection activities. Understand the concept of service to God through service to humanity. This supports the Scout's spiritual development.
Logbook Tip: For each walk, create a separate page โ include date, location, activity description, photos (if any), learnings, and your leader's signature. This is evaluated during the State Camp.

How many community walks are required to qualify for Rajya Puraskar?
Module 3 โ Proficiency Badges
Goal: Earn one badge from Group A AND one badge from Group B. These are awarded by independent examiners, not just patrol leaders.
One badge from each group = 2 total proficiency badges required
Important: Proficiency Badges are issued on the basis of certificates issued by independent examiners appointed by Local or District Badge Committees. Make sure you approach the right examiner!

Badge & Certificate VerificationAll your proficiency badge certificates are cross-verified by the Testing Camp officials.
After qualifying: Scout will be eligible for award of Rajya Puraskar Badge and Certificate, issued by the State Association. The Basic Chief Commissioner then grants the award at a suitable occasion.

Rajya Puraskar is awarded by the Governor or Patron of the Association โ this is the highest state-level recognition for a Scout.

Independent Examiners for Proficiency Badges
Proficiency Badges are issued based on certificates from independent examiners โ appointed by Training Counselors and confirmed by Local or District Badge Committees.

State Training Camp is Mandatory
Scouts who have completed all qualifying Badges must attend the Rajya Puraskar Testing Camp organised by the State Association under the State Organizing Commissioner.

Skills Knowledge Sharing at Camp
At the State Training Camp, the knowledge and skills of the Scouts will be shared. After qualifying, the Scout becomes eligible for the Rajya Puraskar Badge and Certificate.

Badge is State Property
This award including the Badge shall be the property of the State Association and has to be surrendered on demand by appropriate authority. Take care of it!

Basic Chief Commissioner Issues Award
The Basic Chief Commissioner who is the final authority grants Rajya Puraskar. He/she shall issue it from time to time at a suitable occasion ensuring patience of knowledge and skill of the Scout.

Your logbook is the legal evidence of your hard work. If it's not in the book, the examiner won't count it. Follow these strict guidelines:

Attach Original Certificates
Paste your Tritiya Sopan Certificate photocopy and the Original Proficiency Badge Cards issued by the independent examiner. Without these, your file is incomplete.

COH & Scout Master Approval
Every project and walk must be approved by the Court of Honor (COH). Ensure you have the seal of your Unit and the signature of your Scout Master on every major activity report.

Badge Grouping (A + B)
Clearly mention the syllabus of the badges you selected (e.g., Camper from Group A and Public Health from Group B). Write a 1-page report on how you qualified for each.
