Guides are members of the Girl Guides or Girl Scouts organizations. They develop leadership, teamwork, and outdoor skills, while promoting community service, self-development, and social welfare.
History of Scouting & Guiding
The Scouting movement began in 1907 with Robert Baden-Powell's camp on Brownsea Island, UK. It quickly spread worldwide, including India. Guiding for girls started in 1910, giving them equal opportunities to learn leadership and survival skills.
